Peak Performance: In-Season Strength & Conditioning Program

Maximize your performance, out-compete your competition.

Program Overview

Watch the following videos below or read the text for more information.

Work with a Personal Trainer to create an 8-Week strength and conditioning program that will help you be the best version of yourself on court. This program will help you get stronger, faster, more agile, and have great conditioning.

This program is great for:

  • The Competitive Athlete (Ages 15-30): You’re a competitive squash player who thrives on the court and competes regularly. You’re looking for a program to enhance your strength, speed, and endurance so you can outlast your opponents and bring your A-game to every match. With a solid base of fitness, you’re now looking for that next-level edge.
  • The Recreational Warrior: You love the game and enjoy weekend matches or local tournaments, but your fitness could use a boost. You’re juggling work and family, but you’re committed to staying fit and competitive on the court. You need a structured program that enhances your performance without draining your energy reserves.
  • The Comeback Player: After some time off the court due to injury or life getting in the way, you’re ready to make your return. You want a program that rebuilds your strength, improves agility, and helps prevent future injuries, while making sure your conditioning is on point for your next match.

Initially you’ll have a virtual consultation with one of our Personal Trainers, and then they’ll create a customized program for you. Throughout the duration of your program you’ll also have access to them for help and to answer any questions you have.

How Many Workouts?

The typical suggestion is a minimum of 4 hours of exercise per week, at least to start with, to be done with two different types of workouts: 1. Strength Training (also called resistance or weight training training), and 2. Conditioning workouts (cardio). A sample weekly workout schedule could look like:

The focus of the strength training workouts will be on helping you get stronger, and help develop power in the muscles you use during squash. There will also be a focus on training other muscles not used as much in squash to balance overall body strength.

The conditioning workouts will help improve your cardio to improve both your lung and muscle endurance on the court.

Mike’s worked with my daughter for the last few seasons, and it shows. Her fitness and strength have improved so much that even outside of squash people are noticing – like her gym teachers, who are trying to recruit her to various sport and track teams. Highly recommend.

Jess Seuter

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Working with Mike has helped me understand the importance of strength training and conditioning for my squash game. It’s made me less injury prone, more explosive, and I don’t have to worry about fitness being a weakness in my game.
